Second Sip is an electronic and mixed media sculpture within a series, an extension of a larger and circuitous story of timing and tea. In this installment, viewers peek into a scene of enlivened re-assemblage, a landscape of physical and numerical materials, animated objects and projection. Figures conjured from broken tea cups repetitively strike a call bell. Accumulated at the base, hibiscus tea (a tisane traditionally drunk as medicine, noted for its beautiful crimson) mixes with lapsang souchong (a black tea of unique curing methods and pungency, tasting something like liquid smoke).

Second Sip was shown at Fountain Art Fair at the 69th Regiment Armory, as part of the Of Landscape exhibition. This is a companion piece with the life-sized installation of Tea, and the series continues in development.
