In Asleep, two life-sized figures appear to sleep, startle awake, and sleep again. A concealed projector illuminates the scene, projecting faces onto wrapped medical gauze. Sounds of breathing are heard. The installation first exhibited as part of In the Belly of the Lightship, in the bottom bunk of a sleeping cabin aboard the ship.
